Hello and welcome!

It is with great pleasure that the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology, and the McMaster Undergraduate Society for the Chemical Sciences at McMaster University welcomes you to the 41st Southern Ontario Undergraduate Student Chemistry Conference (SOUSCC), which will be held on March 30th, 2013. SOUSCC is a unique undergraduate conference, providing an opportunity for undergraduate chemistry students to present and discuss their research, meet other chemistry undergraduates from across the province, and to interact with academic and industrial researchers. Many students will find this meeting to be an outstanding first step to a career in research, and will make contacts that can help with future career opportunities. SOUSCC allows students to gain experience in presenting scientific data in a collegial, supportive conference setting, and offers students exposure to other areas of research.

General Information:

Presentations are limited to research oriented projects at the undergraduate level (such as a fourth year thesis project, research from a co-op work term or research through an NSERC undergraduate fellowship). Each presenter will be allotted 20 minutes for their presentation including 5 minutes for questions. information for Abstract Submission can be found here.

Check in for the 41st SOUSCC is from 8 to 9 am, with the conference starting at 9 am. Further information on presentations and speakers can be found in the
